Born 1996 in Nataf, Israel, to the painter Anne Ben-Or and Gal Ben-Or,
Carmel majored in Theater and designer of decor at the High School For Art in Jerusalem.
Between the years 2018-2020, Carmel was a full-time student at the Jerusalem Studio School, and studied under the guidance of Yedidya Hirshberg and Deborah Sebaoun.
In the summer of 2018 Carmel joined the Jerusalem Studio School's summer programs in Italy under the guidance of Israel Hirshberg, Susannah Phillips and Kurt Knobelsdorf.
In addition, from 2017 until 2021, Carmel also studied with the sculptor Avner Levinson, at the "Atelier Art School" in Tel-Aviv.
